In response to the deteriorating situation in Syria and the current state of Syrian refugees facing deportation and discriminatory attitudes in host countries, we have launched an advocacy campaign under the title “Syria is Not Safe” within the Wathiqoon program. This campaign emphasizes the urgent need to initiate a political transition in Syria by calling for support to implement UN Resolution 2254, affirming that Syria is not safe until it is enforced. We have engaged several activists, artists, and media professionals from inside and outside Syria, who contributed individual videos expressing their views on the current situation and the necessity of transitioning from the current state of fragmentation and despair to stability and security. Additionally, the campaign focuses on peaceful protest mechanisms, the rejection of violence, and the protection of refugee rights as outlined in international law.
